THREADS:
The Half-Recycled Economic Apparel Design School
Collaborative knowledge and study of designing clothes with what you have and what you get. Students will learn to create unique and personalized items of clothing by using an article of old clothing/material and binding it with something new, or any combination of the two. The students will study fashion from a personal standpoint. We will explore each individual’s style and then as a whole we will dive into designing and creating outfits or items based on their ideas. The students will take tours of local stores and boutiques to get a basic understanding of what’s current and what style they like or would like to create. They will also work together to understand tips and tricks to use in the future. Overall the students will become knowledgeable in apparel design that cost less to make and ensures its one of a kind.
